The objective was to drive user engagement with Capitec through an innovative and immersive digital experience.

Nearly one million users across South Africa engaged with the interactive lens, with data demonstrating a highly positive response.

To enhance retention and deepen engagement, the experience was designed to encourage repeat interactions. On average, each Snapchat user engaged with the lens three times to explore different DNA analysis outcomes.

Playtime was measured from the moment a user pressed record, and within just 24 hours, Capitec achieved an unprecedented return on investment: 9,432 hours of total playtime. This equated to the brand being visibly present on users’ screens for over a year in cumulative time.

By seamlessly integrating Capitec into an interactive social experience, the campaign transformed everyday South Africans into organic brand ambassadors, amplifying brand presence like never before.
